Bis auf die Hauptfront wurden die übrigen Seiten wie auch die Torhäuser renoviert. Mal sehn wann oder ob die Hauptfassade kommt.

It's more less styrofoam, than less concrete.
It's a cavaty wall. The inner supporting wall is made of reinforced concrete, the outer wall is built in bricks, inbetween is the insulation of rock wool. So there is no need for another isolation layer on the bricks and plasterwork of the facade can be directly applied on them. The outer wall supports the framing made of sandstone for the doors, windows and other trimmings, too. It would be very complicate to use concrete for this. The bricks give some more isolation too. This principle isn't so new, but instead of of inner walls made of concrete, the walls were built in timber framing.
Of course you could made the facade completly out of styrofoam and plasterwork applied direcly on a concrete wall. But that would not only look cheap, it would also not very durable. So building a cavaty wall is more cost-effectiv.

Quartier Hoym - Baufortschritt
Aus der Luft ist bereits gut die künftige Dachlandschaft zu erahnen. Nur beim Palais Hoym und dem neuen Palaisch Riesch hinken die Arbeiten noch etwas hinterher.

Hab nochmal den Tag24 Artikel rausgekrammt/verlinkt zum "Baustopp im Quartier Hoym".
Gründe waren wohl Corona und das Winterwetter. Laut Artikel sollte es im März weitergehen.
Aber wenn die obere Aufnahme aktuell ist scheint es mir wirklich seit meinem letzten Besuch im März weiterzugehen, es sieht zumindest danach aus das an der Landhausstraße doch einiges dazu kam.
